Noah Salzman

Noah Salzman believes that children need to be recognized for their diversity, individual needs and basic desire to succeed. "Educators can provide an atmosphere where high expectations for all students allow positive exploration and growth every day."

Fluent in English, Spanish and Italian and having traveled extensively in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, Noah celebrates and respects the cultural differences students bring to the classroom. Mr. Salzman's dedication, enthusiasm and humor enable him to create an atmosphere that makes learning a pleasure. Noah specializes in comprehensive classroom/behavior management, educational technology and standards/assessment. Noah stresses the importance of comprehensive school reform programs that include proactive solutions, effective parent involvement, teaching strategies for raising expectations, and a safe working environment.

Founder of I understand. - Tools for Schools, Noah has an extensive background in education. He has been a bilingual teacher at the elementary level and an English teacher for middle and high school students in an alternative education dropout recovery program. His administrative experience includes being a Teaching Director, Principal, and Executive Director of two charter schools. In 1998, Noah worked as an educational lobbyist in a successful effort to pass legislation improving the public school system. In addition, he was a key contributor with the education marketing team at Apple Computer. Noah has worked as an educational consultant and trainer since 1992.

Mr. Salzman, by virtue of his own educational background and interests, adds to his presentations a unique understanding of the difficulties administrators, teachers, paraeducators and students face in today's schools.
